ENROLMENT CONTRACT
(Full Student & Parent Agreement, Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, Fees & Terms)
1. INTRODUCTION
This Enrolment Contract sets out the complete conditions of joining Al-Rushd Online School, including expectations for behaviour, attendance, safeguarding, academic integrity, payments, media consent, and withdrawal terms.
By signing this contract, parents/guardians and students agree to follow all policies stated in this document.
2. STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
Students must maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
2.1 Behaviour & Respect
• Treat staff and peers with respect at all times.
• Bullying, harassment, offensive language, discrimination, or inappropriate comments are prohibited.
• Conflicts must be resolved calmly and respectfully.
2.2 Lesson Expectations
• Camera must remain ON unless written permission is granted.
• Students must be in school uniform.
• Eating, lying down or inappropriate posture is not allowed.
• Chat may only be used when requested by staff.
2.3 Peer Communication
• No private messaging regarding school matters.
• No unsanctioned WhatsApp/Discord/social media groups.
• Only school-created study or revision groups are allowed.
2.4 Technology Use
• Devices used only for education during lessons.
• No gaming, inappropriate browsing, or misuse of devices.
2.5 Academic Integrity
• All work must be completed independently.
• No cheating, plagiarism, or AI misuse.
• Exam misconduct may result in zero marks or removal.
2.6 Privacy & Data Protection
Students must not record lessons, take screenshots, or share content.
2.7 Attendance & Punctuality
• Students must attend all lessons on time.
• Repeated lateness triggers intervention.
2.8 Disciplinary Pathway

3. STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Join lessons on time with camera on.
• Participate respectfully.
• Complete tasks/homework on time.
• Follow staff instructions.
• Bring correct materials.
• Inform parents of communications.
• Uphold the school’s values.
4. PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Daily Support
• Ensure attendance and punctuality.
• Provide a quiet learning environment.
• Ensure devices, camera, mic and internet work properly.
• Monitor online behaviour.
4.2 Primary Parent Supervision
Primary parents must supervise their children during all live lessons.
4.3 Parent Login Monitoring
Parents must log into their child’s school account on their own phone to supervise activity.
4.4 Communication
• Report absences before 9am.
• Inform school of wellbeing changes.
• Keep details updated.
• Attend meetings when required.
5. FEES, PAYMENTS & FINANCIAL TERMS
5.1 Fees Payable
• £15 Process Fee (non-refundable)
• £350 Admission Fee (non-refundable)
• £100 Deposit (refundable under conditions)
5.2 Payment Methods
Payments may be made via:
• Direct Debit
• Bank Transfer
• Official payment link
5.3 Missed Payments and Account Restrictions
Missed payments must be resolved within 3 working days of the due date.
If payment is not received, the school will issue a reminder and allow parents one week to respond.
• If no correspondence or payment is made within that one-week notice period, the school reserves the right to:
• Restrict or block the student’s account,
• Remove access to live lessons and school platforms, and
• Suspend services until the outstanding amount is fully cleared.
Continued non-payment may result in full account suspension and removal from the school register.
6. ATTENDANCE POLICY & FINES
6.1 Minimum Attendance Requirement
• Attendance must remain above 95%.
6.2 Warning Stage
• Parents notified and reminded if attendance drops below 95%.
6.3 Fine Stage
If attendance falls below 90%, a £50 fine is issued.
7. WITHDRAWAL & LEAVERS’ POLICY
7.1 Notice Requirement
• Full term’s notice required.
7.2 Leaving Without Notice
• Full term fee + loss of deposit must be paid.
7.3 Records Release
• Records released only after fee clearance.
8. DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY
Refund only at end of academic year if:
• No outstanding fees, fines or damage
• All materials returned
Year 11 & 13 must submit exam results to receive deposit refund.
9. RECORDING, MEDIA & CONSENT POLICY
9.1 Lesson Recording (Unedited)
All lessons may be recorded in original form for revision, safeguarding, QA and staff training.
9.2 Default Consent for Media Use
Parents give automatic consent for using their child’s images/video/voice/screenshots/work for website, social media, marketing and promotion unless they opt out in writing.
9.3 Opt-Out Option
Parents may opt out in writing.
9.4 Forbidden Actions
Parents/students must not record or share lesson content.
10. SAFEGUARDING POLICY
• Maintain appropriate online behaviour.
• Report concerns immediately.
• Respect privacy.
• Follow safeguarding instructions.
11. TECHNOLOGY POLICY
Parents must ensure functional devices, stable internet and no misuse.
12. EXAM RULES & PARENT INVIGILATION
Parents must invigilate exams to ensure independent work and rule compliance.
